About the Comic:

Awkward Turtle is a slice of life comic written and drawn by Miranda Gehris following the everyday occurrences of a few high school students. It is drawn, inked, and colored by hand using Prismacolor® markers.

While  AT is not an autobiographical comic, some dialouge and scenarios are (very) loosely based off of event’s in Miranda’s life.

Awkward Turtle is protected under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License. In layman’s terms, this means you can share my work (but you may not change it in anyway) for Non commercial uses IF and only if you credit me.

About the Author:

Miranda Gehris is a college student majoring in something scientific(ish) that is far too boring to explain to any normal human being. She has been interested in comics for a long time, this is her first real attempt at a webcomic so cut her some slack, okay? Great, thanks. Miranda also enjoys dogs (not like that you smutty, smutty excuse for a person), drawing (duh), listening to NPR (because she is a filthy liberal hippie), and spending time with friends and family (because she is a mushy and emotional woman, go figure).

Oh and I better get this out of the way too: I am not a professional artist and do not claim to be a professional by any means, heck I don’t even claim to be an artist; I have no training in art and I am totally self taught. I hope to learn a lot by making Awkward Turtle, I hope you stay with me and watch my work grow and improve!
